Italian Job

(pictures galore!)
Extremely short trip in Milano once again, 36 hours perhaps?

Dezzy arriving with us at DoubleTree Hilton, Milan.

Resting for less than 2hours after checking in, out we go! Waiting for the tram to the city outside our hotel.

The magnificent cathedral from centuries ago.

I absolutely adore my Forever21 gold aviators which costs only SGD9!

Custom timed on a dustbin cos we would be too shy to ask someone else to take for us! heehee....

We did not have time to visit San Siro (AC Milan's stadium), so will make do with this for this trip!

Day 2

At Milano Centrale Station. Approximately 15minutes from Hotel and it costs a good 15Euros (SGD30).
Wait till you see the amount we spend on transportation for this entire trip.

Our second class train tickets to Florence.

The express train takes 2 hours to Florence.

Inside our cabin...

At Florence - I asked hubbie to pose a picture here because I thought the symbol on the monument behind looks like a full rounded leaf of Fred Perry! hahaha...

After almost 4 hours (upon reaching Florence, we had to take another train to Pisa - one hour journey), we're finally here!

Our second Wonder of the world together...

The typical pose that EVERYONE does....

See what I mean??!?!?!?!

I decided to use my leg instead! wahahaha....

Sitting, sprawling and lying on the grass; trying to custom-time the pictures ourselves...

Hubbie looks handsomely macho here, but take a closer look! I'm giggling and see the tight grip! I seem to be grabbing onto him tightly for fear of falling backwards!
Arrgghhh.....I think I spoilt the picture... =(

The picture of the trip! J'adore!

This one is not too bad either...

Back to Florence. Exploring around a bit more.
(Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore)

You'll see this statue everywhere you go in Florence. Its a pity we could not take picture or see the real one because of time and finance constraint.

I love the melon sorbet! Yummz...

Bought the 7.19pm first class tickets back to Milano as the second class tickets were sold out and we do not want to wait for the next train.
(It was already SG1am then!)

We're so exhausted from the traveling back and forth~

And believe it or not, the transportation costs SGD600 for the both of us.
In just a day, from Milan -> Florence -> Pisa -> Florence -> Milan.

We had two authentic Italian meals when we were there but they were so disappointing and exorbitantly priced.

We also had to end the day on a ugly note with the locals. *spats*
It happened back at Milano Centrale Station when we were queueing for taxi to go back to the Hotel.
Hubbie left me at the queue alone so that he could run back into the Station and asked the address for DoubleTree (we forgot to bring the card that bears the address of our Hotel).

When it was my turn to take the taxi, hubbie wasn't back yet so I let a man behind me to take it first.
Instead of thanking me or even acknowledging me, the man went ahead and so did the next person after the man went forward and took the next taxi too!
By this time, hubbie was back, so we went forward to take the third available taxi.
Suddenly, this woman came up to us and chided us that, there is a queue behind and we should not be jumping queue!

I was aghast and tried to argue my point that I was here all along and just that he (pointing to hubbie) went away for a while to get some information.
Ignoring her, I went ahead to open the taxi door.
The taxi driver then came out and claimed that he saw the woman (who chided us) in queue but NOT me.

The rest of the people in queue were like 'chanting' for us to go join the queue at the back and no one claim to have seen me in the queue.

There was nothing that hubbie and I could do, in a foreign country with rude and f-up people, so we re-joined the queue.
Outrageous isn't it?

So girls, be ready to embrace discrimination with open arms when going for holidays in such countries.

To end this distasting trip, I had to work back with a nasty set of crew (just a few of them anyway). *bleah*
Hubbie had to do a Barcelona shuttle so he came back one day later.
The only mercy was that my work proceeded on smoothly throughout the flight so there were nothing they could do or say about me.

You know, I always have this thing that I could almost predict when I am going to have a bad set of crew or when I am going to have my check.
Most of the time, I hit bingo - after 4 or 5 nice flights, I'll get disgusting crew next. *shakes head*

That's life but I'm still loving it because life's too short and wonderful to be bothered with such losers!

Ending this entry, I shall share my new love:

It costs only SGD155 and its a thicker coated canvas than Le Pliage's.

PS: Longchamp is unbelievably cheap in Zurich!
I helped Mabel to buy Le Pliage's travels at only SGD155; great savings of SGD77 from Singapore's price. *beams*

The best station so far....

Would be London!

The shopping there is ten times better than States (maybe because I did not have time to visit States' factory outlets)!
It was an unexpectedly fulfilling trip (I wasn't looking forward to the flight initially as hubbie could not change his flight to mine).
They have a departmental store call Primark down at Oxford Street, and I grabbed 4 pairs of footwear costing a mere 18£ (S$42).

I even shopped on check-out day with Ms Neo!
Which is something that I WOULD not do; as I would be so tired to work after that! But I did!

(Kinda regret not buying that denim vest from H&M)
*sigh*

No time for sightseeing at all as this is really a short pattern (and I wouldn't want to go with those 'ew' people); would love to see the castles, Stonehedge, Bath and Big Ben on my next visit!

Whats new?

Weighed myself this morning and I'm 43kg again?
Don't know whether the machine's spoilt or not.

Standby called up for tomorrow: Saigon turn for the third time!
And the one with the long long 5 hour transit.
Its ok! Because I'm gonna get the yummy peanut biscuit, shop at DFS and bring my lappie to watch Tang Xin Feng Bao there!
The best part is, I work for less than 6hours, I'm being paid 12hrs for it!
Mad happy!

Brought my family to Lingzhi Vegetarian yesterday and it was a meatlessly nice dinner.
Much toufu and mushrooms! heehee....

Leaving for London on Thursday, any orders?
(Its gonna be a mad shopping roster for the whole of Sep!)

Whatever.

I kinda hate how I look these days on pictures because I feel that I'm way too skinny.
I'm trying so hard to gain back that little weight I used to have.

Just bought my gold aviators so I'm gonna conjure a new WANTS list as almost everything has been bought.

Looking forward to the next five weeks' roster.

Love in SFO

A gift from hubbie...

Its an iPod sound dock. *loves*

For once, he had more purchases than me...

Walking along the streets. Taking bus(es) to the bridge.

I had multiple attempts on this shot just to get the flag! muahahaha...

Shot of the trip!
Its a pity though, its so misty that we could only see half of Golden Gate Bridge!

Had the yummy clam chowder at Fisherman Wharf.

Going home soon! Not coming back! haha..
